It keeps the correct time  
I purchased this clock a few months ago but it now sits in a cabinet unplugged. I bought it for the outdoor temps however the transmitter stopped working after about 60 days (it was kept in an enclosed patio).

Why the company chose to use the brightest non-dimming blue light source for the projection is beyond me. I even tried to use a brown marker over the projector to dim the brightness. As for the clock it is just as bright. Why is there not a dimmer here as well? You can turn off the back light but then you cant see it in the day.

For the price of this unit there are MANY other choices available that have these functions. I give it one star only because I cant give zero. : 2010-09-16 03:58:41

Oregon Scientific RMR329PA Display Backlight Failed  
This clock was purchased in March 2009. I normally left the display blue backlight on constantly day & night. At night the blue display didnt bother me because it faced the foot of the bed not my face... thus it acted somewhat as a night light. The projection display was above on the ceiling. The past couple of weeks I noticed that the display blue backlight has dimmed considerably. After reviewing the instructions on how to control the display backlight I concluded that it cannot be adjusted or turned-on... its failed. So now I can barely read the display. So far the projection still works.

As others report in automatic set mode the clock has occasionally ended up completely wrong so cannot be 100% trusted accurate... also a disappointment especially if you depend on it as an alarm. There are other minor flaws as others report but failures after months or several years are unacceptable. No more Oregon Scientific for me.

This is seriously a clock?  
Alright let me start with this: keeping track of time and being accountable for the time I spend is vital to my every day functions...
This "clock" worked alright for the first 10 days or so then it randomly started changing time on me. When I say "randomly started changing time" I really do mean that I would set it to the correct time and then 4 hours later it would read 13:50 when it really was 23:50 (or 11:50 at night)... I dont know what to say this wasnt an issue when I first got the clock.

As for the blue projection light I can definitely see how some people may have trouble sleeping with it. However this isnt much of an issue for me as I enjoy having some sort of light on in the room anyways so this functions more of a night light for me rather than an annoyance.

I would have to say that its ability to predict the weather is at 50%. I honestly believe that it guesses at what the weather is outside. Right now it says its overcast when its sunny wit : 2010-09-16 03:58:41

Good So Far  
I bought this to replace a monster one I had on my night stand because I wanted to start projecting on the wall at my feet (old one wouldnt rotate that far). I accomplished this but beware - it appears in the picture that the projector swivels at 180 degrees but it doesnt. I couldnt quite get it to project on the wall so I remedied this by sticking a couple layers of adhesive mounting tape on the back corners of the stand. Like other reviewers I have experienced a bit of wierdness with the atomic setting - enough to make me finally shut it off. I know this is not my ability to receive the atomic signal because I have an atomic wall clock in my master bath and it has never had a problem with keeping precise time. For the first week I had this clock there were several evenings when it would suddenly read six hours earlier. This would correct itself during the night but I cant take a chance on getting up late so I turned off the atomic feature after letting it sync up with the atomi : 2010-09-16 03:58:41
